Cedros Ave. Design District, SD

I went to this place called Mermaid's Merchantile on Sunday Feb. 28th at Solano Beach, San Diego. It was absolutely the best weather for this short trip with my lovely birdy friends of 4.

Anyways, this flea market is distinctively amazing because it's right by the beach to begin with, followed by many other attractive visits in the surrounding area. Even better, they are all on the same street so that you can just walk walk, and walk place to place after place! I completely fell in love with San Diego.

Mermaid's Merchantile is a flea market, more like a shabby chic outdoor gallery. You can buy stuff from artists there but it's also a great inspiring place for those of you who are also artists yourselves. You can buy things from artist t-shirts to room decor items to seashells to handmade jewelries to even home-made chocolates! mmm...! Yum!

Another place you've gotta check out in the area is this store, 'Solo', next to Mermaid's Merchantile. Solo has many select goods like one of a kind furniture, books, designed stationaries, greeting cards, art... mix of many cool things from all over the world as well. It's like World Market but only cooler ;)

In this area, there are so many good restaurants. I only got to go into one of them for lunch so far but I'm definitely willing to go back and try some more places.
